Terms of Use

Sapor · effective 2026-08-18

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Sapor (“Sapor”, “we”, “us”). By using Sapor — including signing in, scanning records, and posting to the community Feed — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy note. If you do not agree, do not use Sapor.

1. What Sapor is

Sapor is a companion for record collectors. It reads your Discogs collection and want list to learn your taste, identifies records from photos, offers recommendations and collector notes, and lets you share records you’ve found to a community Feed. Some features use AI and require your own Anthropic API key.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Sapor. By using Sapor you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You sign in with Discogs (OAuth). You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your Discogs access secure. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

4. Community content and conduct

The Feed lets you post records (with the record’s Discogs cover art and a short written caption) and comment on others’ posts. You are solely responsible for the content you post, and you retain ownership of it. By posting, you grant Sapor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating the Feed.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. The following are strictly prohibited, and we may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts for them without notice:

Be civil. Post about records and the hobby. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t say to another collector’s face.

5. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement

Every post and comment has a Report control, and you can Block any user to hide their content from you. We review reports and, at our sole discretion, may remove content, suspend accounts, and permanently eject users who post objectionable content or behave abusively. There is no tolerance for abusive users.

To report content or a user, use the report control in the app, or contact us at the address below. We aim to act on valid reports promptly.

6. Removing your content and account

You can delete your own posts and comments at any time. You can delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings; doing so removes your profile, posts, comments, and stored credentials.

7. AI features

AI-generated identifications, notes, and recommendations are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate. Verify important details (for example, a record’s exact pressing) against Discogs before relying on them. You are responsible for any API costs incurred under your own Anthropic key.

8. Third-party services

Sapor relies on Discogs and (optionally) Anthropic. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. Record cover art and catalogue data are sourced from Discogs.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Sapor is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sapor, including content posted by other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, noting them in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
